There’s no better way to showcase your skills and talents than by your own work day beauty look. After all, well presented makeup, hair and nails will appear extremely professional, and show your clients just what you’re made of. Want to get some inspiration for a showstopping work day look. Here are our favourite looks.
A neutral smokey eye
Everyone loves a smokey eye. It’s a classic look and it looks beautiful for daytime wear. Wow your clients and co-workers by keeping your shadows neutral with natural lashes.
To give this a go, opt for some quality blending brushes and cream or powder shadows. First apply an eyeshadow primer all over your lid to make your eyeshadow last through the working day. Next, use a base shadow (choose a light beige or pale nude shade) and apply all over the lid. Next, apply a champagne toned beige in the inner to middle of the lid. Follow this with a darker shade in the outer eye area. Apply a chocolate brown in the outer crease and blend thoroughly with a soft blending brush.
If you want to wear liner, opt for a brown liner pen and create a small winged line on the top lid. If you’re a liner pro, go for a liquid liner, however, if you’re still a newbie, go for a crayon or pencil.
Finish this eye look with a coat of brown or black mascara. You could also add a little highlighter under the brow and in the very inner corner of the eyes.
A sleek ponytail
What’s simpler than a chic ponytail? Just spray some shine spray all over your hairbrush and brush through your hair, bringing it into a high ponytail. Smooth over any bumps with your fingers and tie with a hair band.
Go for a matte blush and subtle contour
Save heavy contouring for a night out on the tiles! For work, go for a subtle contour along your cheekbones and add a little matte blush to give you a healthy flush. Avoid anything too shimmery and leave the disco look firmly on the dance floor.
A plump pout in five minutes!
If it’s a rush getting out of the front door in the morning, try this quick trick for luscious lips. Scrub your lips with a lip scrub or old toothbrush and add a little lip balm. Next line your lips with a nude liner, paying extra attention to your top lip. Next add a matte nude pink lipstick or liquid lip all over your lips. Dab a little liquid highlighter to the middle of your lips and very lightly over your top lip. Finish with a clear gloss and you’re good to go!
